The Department of Information and Libraries at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Khartoum organized a scientific lecture entitled "Scientific Impersonation and Detection Methods" presented by Prof. Dr. Imad Issa Saleh Mohammed, Professor of Information, Helwan University, Egypt, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, 3/7/2018.
In his lecture, Prof Emad Issa presented a comprehensive definition of scientific plagiarism and its types. It is also mentioned that scientific misbehavior may be unintentional, but this does not prevent the researcher from being caught in the trap of plagiarism. He also presented the types of software that reveal plagiarism, Before the start of writing scientific research, and calls for the need to learn and teach scientific research methods and how to sound scientific documentation, and benefit from the free scientific documentation software available on the Internet.

Prof. Imad made a number of recommendations, including the holding of a currency workshop to discuss the issue of plagiarism because it threatened the reputation of academic and research institutions. He also called for holding a workshop to listen to postgraduate students. The university offered the applications of detecting plagiarism and closing the scientific lecture. Because they contribute effectively to raising awareness among postgraduate students and students of the baccalaureate of the seriousness of plagiarism.
